Award recognises outstanding learning and support services
The University of Wollongong (UOW) co-curricular learning program, UOWx, has received a Student Experiences and Learning Support Services Award in the prestigious Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT).
The awards, established in 1997 by the Australian Government to celebrate and reward programs and practices that enhance students’ learning experience, recognise the outstanding efforts made by educators and the impact they have on students’ learning and teaching outcomes.
Some 14 nominations were submitted across the country for the ‘awards for program that enhance learning’ category, with UOW named among four winners in that category.
The University’s UOWx program connects students with opportunities outside of their academic coursework that receive formal recognition.
